Drugs have been legalised in some countries in Europe. For
example, in Portugal, which was the first country to formally decriminalise
them. In these countries drug trafficking and drugs use have decreased
drastically. On the other hand, drug use and drug trafficking in the United
States have increased because the illegality of drugs make it more expensive
and good business for drug dealers.
We agree with the legalisation of drugs because if drugs are
legal their cost will be lower and the rate of consumption will be reduced as
happened in Portugal. This is now the European country with the lowest rate of
drug consumption.
